Typical small problems in Paris apartments

1. Pipes that bang when you turn off a tap: that is water hammer. A water hammer arrester or a pressure adjustment fixes it (water hammer: causes and fixes).
2. Low water pressure on upper floors, or a scaled-up pressure reducer (loss of water pressure in an apartment).

In the shared parts of the building, it is the copropriété (the co-owned building), through the syndic (its managing agent). The plumber's detailed invoice states the cause.
