Emergency line, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day: +33 1 89 70 15 36, a photo on WhatsApp (reply in under 30 minutes) or the contact form. Paris, 92, 93, 94. Many of our plumbers speak English and can handle the whole job in English (English-speaking plumber in Paris).

Emergencies we handle

  1. Visible leak, water damage in progress, water coming through the ceiling downstairs
  2. Blocked or overflowing toilet, sink, shower or bath that will not drain
  3. No hot water, water heater leaking or tripping the fuse box
  4. Broken tap, burst hose, water you cannot turn off
  5. Sewage backing up, sewer smells
  6. Water cut off in all or part of your home
  7. Heating breakdown (what to do when the heating fails)

We work in homes, business premises, small shops and the shared areas of buildings, with the syndic's agreement where needed.

The first 5 minutes: what to do before the plumber arrives

  1. Turn off the water. First the nearest valve (under the sink, behind the toilet). If that is not enough, the main stop valve for the flat: in older Paris buildings it is often near the water meter, in the kitchen, in a utility cupboard or out on the landing.
  2. Switch off the electricity in the room if water is near sockets or appliances.
  3. Warn the neighbour below and the gardien (the building caretaker), or the syndic (the managing agent) if the water comes from a shared pipe.
  4. Take photos of the damage and the leak for your insurer.
  5. Call us or send a photo: we talk you through it on the phone if needed, in English.

Smell of gas: switch nothing on, open the windows, leave and call GRDF, the gas network emergency line, on 0 800 47 33 33 (smell of gas: what to do).

What an emergency plumber costs in Paris

Emergency prices follow the same ranges as our price list: for example €150 excl. VAT for simple unblocking of a toilet, €115 to €155 excl. VAT for a small leak repair (seal, float valve, dripping tap). Some time slots (night, Sunday) may carry a surcharge: it is always given in advance, like the price. The full list is further down.

How an emergency call-out works, even at night

  1. You call or send a photo. We tell you what to do to limit the damage.
  2. We give you an honest arrival time and the price before the plumber sets off.
  3. The plumber diagnoses on site and confirms the price before any work.
  4. The problem is fixed, or made safe if a part has to be ordered. If a second visit is needed, you are told plainly.
  5. You receive a clear invoice and a photo report, useful for your insurer or the syndic.

Night or Sunday emergency: how to avoid being scammed

Emergencies are where rogue plumbers operate. Réseau Tubulure appeared on the TF1 programme Sept à Huit to expose these practices (Réseau Tubulure on TF1). Whoever you call:

  1. Insist on the price before work starts, and a written quote for any major repair.
  2. Do not pay a cash deposit: payment comes after the work is done.
  3. Be wary of "everything needs replacing" for a simple seal or trap leak.
  4. Ask for a detailed invoice from an identifiable company.

Who to call for what

  1. Inside your flat (after your own stop valve): a plumber.
  2. Shared riser, soil stack, common areas: the syndic or the gardien; a plumber can work on them with their agreement.
  3. Leak in the street or before the water meter: the public network belongs to the water authority, Eau de Paris in the city (before or after the meter).
  4. Smell of gas: GRDF, before any plumber.

Who pays for an emergency call-out?

Water damage goes through your home insurance: report it and keep the photos and the invoice. A shared riser is the building's responsibility, through the syndic. Between tenant and landlord, it depends on the cause: routine upkeep or equipment at the end of its life. The plumber's photo report helps settle it (plumbing emergencies for landlords who do not live in Paris).

step by step

You call us by phone or contact us on WhatsApp. We gather as much information as possible (type of problem, address, access, photos if possible).

04

Technical visit (if required)

If the job is simple (for example unblocking a drain or a small leak), a price can be given in advance. Otherwise, an emergency visit is offered to assess the problem on site, with a quote before any work.

04

Intervention

A plumber from the network arrives as soon as possible, equipped to act immediately. The aim is to stop the problem quickly and safely, then to carry out a lasting repair where possible.
